Kind of perfect conditions... It snowed on and off all day and felt very wintery and the restaurant was cozy- so cozy in fact we shared a table with 2 other groups.
Then, I could not have planned it any better myself- who showed up? None other than Sinterklaas and a couple Zwarte Piet's! Seriously! (it is his night after all) they popped in to say hello, and then off into the night...
After we walked through the falling snow and went to a brown cafe called Proeflokaal De Ooievaar and had a glass of jenever (juniper flavored gin). That warmed us up!
It's sad to say good by to such a lovely gal in a lovely city- but I know we'll meet again.
