This continuous painting is entered from below- up a spiral staircase, you enter a gazebo structure and are surrounded 360 degrees with a view from 1881: beach dunes, fishing boats, small town, emerging sea resort. The painting is 120 x 14 meters.
Hendrik Willem Mesdag was one of the most famous painters from 'the Hague' school.
